Hertz as a brand doesn't need much introduction, the name is synonymous with quality and the slogan "We try harder". Founded in Chicago in 1918 with a fleet of 12 Model Ts, after a long association with Ford, Hertz became a public company in 2006.
On its own and through agents and licensees, Hertz operates about 8,000 rental locations in more than 140 countries worldwide. Its fleet includes some 500,000 cars from Ford, General Motors, Toyota, and other manufacturers.
In recent years, the company pioneered the use of an in-car SatNav system with the introduction of Hertz Neverlost.
